Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Vokab ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.
Description of Service
Vokab is a vocabulary learning application available on iOS, macOS, visionOS, and watchOS. The app provides swipe-based learning, spaced repetition, audio pronunciations, quizzes, and progress tracking to help users learn and retain vocabulary.
Subscriptions & Payments
Vokab offers optional subscription plans that unlock additional features. All subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store, and billing is handled entirely by Apple. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's terms of payment and auto-renewal policies. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.
User Content & Data
Your learning progress, including streak data, words learned, and mastery levels, is stored locally on your device and synced across your devices via Apple's CloudKit. You retain ownership of your progress data. We do not access, sell, or share your personal data with third parties.
Intellectual Property
All content within Vokab, including but not limited to dictionary definitions, audio pronunciations, app design, graphics, and branding, is the intellectual property of Vokab and its creators. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content in the app without prior written permission.
Content Disclaimer
Vokab includes a sexology vocabulary category. All content in this category is strictly educational in nature and is presented in an academic context. The app is rated 17+ on the App Store to reflect this content. By using the app, you acknowledge that you are of appropriate age and accept that such educational content is included.
Limitation of Liability
Vokab is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the app's accuracy, reliability, or availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the app at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides.
